I have been in many Assisted Living Communities, and this is the best of all! It is such a blessing to be here. I cut the ribbon at the ribbon cutting with the Mayor on opening day and feel so much better after being here for 1 year. I took a walk this morning on The Lodge grounds, and hope to share The Lodge experience with more residents. I’m 96 and will be here much longer thanks to the people and great care here.

My wife Floss and I came to live at the Lodge in September of 2009. My wife was placed in Memory Care and I in a separate apartment in Assisted Living. My wife was in serious condition and with the help of The Lodge staff and St. Mary’s Hospice she made a fantastic recovery and no longer needed hospice. She survived for seven months longer than predicted. I would visit my wife daily until she finally passed away. During those visits I was able to observe the caring service staff provided to residents of memory care. I can attest to the fact that The Lodge staff are excellent and go above and beyond to assist residents. I live in the Assisted Living side and am well satisfied with my care.
During an onset of vertigo, I pulled one of the safety cords in my room, and five caregivers came to my room immediately. The Lodge Health Services stayed in touch with me to make sure my vitals were normal.

It is very nice here! I like to play cards and Rummikube, and have recently started attending the ladies exercise group 3 times per week. The people here are my 2nd family; The Lodge Family! I don’t cook or clean anymore, so it’s great having someone to do it for me.

I love the community spirit that is available. I’m able to find anyone to sit and visit with and have companionship which is not always available for a person living at home.
I also love the convenience and timing of the meals. The food is nourishing and tastes good!
It’s nice to have someone to rely on all the time; each caregiver that helps me is wonderful, and always looks out for my well being. The bus is so handy to have available for excursions and appointments.

I feel that my Mom does very well at The Lodge Memory Care. The staff has been excellent; they let me know if my mother needs anything, and sometimes they contact me just to inform me of certain activities. I like to help out at activities and always feel welcomed and comfortable. They keep her clean and well groom, and hard at communicating with her. The Memory Care staff is patient and kind.

Wife of a Lodge Memory Care Resident
The people at The Lodge are wonderful! Even when things get difficult, the caregivers are there to help immediately. They are sweet and they give the residents good care. If my husband needs anything they always call to tell me. For anyone who needs help with their loved one, this is the place! The caregivers feed the few residents who cannot feed themselves, and the food is great!
