Cher

Cher Haack, Administrator & Health Care Services Coordinator

Taking care of seniors has been Cher's passion and career for the past thirteen years. Our residents and Wellness team are in good hands with the knowledge, compassion and experience Cher brings to The Lodge. , Cher has developed professional relationships with local physicians, health care agencies, pharmacies and Nevada State regulatory agents. Safety and wellness for seniors has been Cher's primary focus and goal during her career in the Assisted Living industry. Some of Cher's hobbies are: camping, canoeing, trips to the ocean, riding her motorcycle and playing with her Siberian Husky, Shilo.

Gwyn-cowles

Gwyn Cowles – Wellness Services Coordinator

Gwyn began her journey caring for the elderly in 1991 right out of high school. She first worked in a rehab/nursing home in Atwater, California as a C.N.A. She moved to Oklahoma in 1995 to work in a nursing home as a C.M.A. (certified medication aid). In 2000 Gwyn became the day manager at The Mansion in Scott’s Valley, California, responsible for supporting six team members and overseeing the proper care of residents. In 2005 Gwyn moved to Nevada, where she worked for six years at an assisted living as a certified medication tech, resident caregiver, and assistant supervisor responsible for the medication ordering, physician communication, and quality assurance for the medication systems.

Gwyn is now the Wellness Coordinator, responsible for general oversight of all caregivers and health systems at The Lodge. She brings experience, organization, and a big heart to this very important job.

When not busy at The Lodge, Gwyn enjoys spending time with her family and reading good books
 

Rose-ferguson

Rose Ferguson, Elder Guide Aspen Grove

Rose is an Eden Alternative Associate and brings over 30 years of experience working with elders as a Certified Nursing Assistant for hospitals and nursing facilities, private in home care and hospice. In addition Rose spent many years with the Alzheimer’s Association with a passion to serve cognitive impaired elders. As the Elder Guide for Aspen Grove, Rose is looking forward to enhancing the current program and creating meaningful, personalized new experiences for the members. Rose is also the facilitator for our weekly Memory Care Café support groups held on Thursday evenings at 6:00pm.

Cindy-thomson

Cindy Thomson, Aspen Village Memory Care Supervisor


Cindy has been working in the Assisted Living industry for four years. She started working in the dining services department, and then became a caregiver. When Cindy came to The Lodge, she began as a Resident Assistant, then a Medication Technician, and she is now the supervisor of Aspen Village, our Memory Care community. Cindy is a strong and compassionate leader. She says, “I truly enjoy being in this position. I get to watch the elder’s blossom and grow. I see them as wonderful human beings. Sharing a smile and happiness with them is what makes me happy. I enjoy the friendships I have made over the years with the elders as well as the friendships with the families and my co-workers.” When not at The Lodge, Cindy enjoys shopping, relaxing, watching a good movie, and spending time with friends.

John-dameron

John Dameron, Life Enrichment Director

I grew up in Tennessee and graduated from The University of North Carolina with an English degree. After college, a friend and I headed west to work and play at ski resorts. I fell in love with the west. I stayed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Montana for several years working in the hotel business.

In 1987, I moved to Reno and worked in sales at Circus Circus where I was trained as a clown. Jumping twenty years later, summing up a long story, My wife and I created our own entertainment business with over 35 silly characters entertaining for big and small events in the Reno/Tahoe area. In 2012, I became the Life Enrichment Coordinator at The Lodge. I often bring in several of my characters that I impersonate as surprises during events or to bring a spontaneous moment of joy! I really enjoy the work of bringing happiness and smiles to the Elders at the Lodge.

Nicole

Nicole Hays - Assistant Director

Nicole has been working in assisted living communities since she began her first job as a dietary aid at the age of 16. After her first year, she was offered the concierge position. It wasn’t long before she realized she loved working in Administration. Nicole is always trying to find new strategies to keep our business running as organized and efficiently as possible. Nicole oversees all of the Business Services responsibilities of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and human resources. She is the right hand person for Cher Haack, Executive Director. When not at the Lodge, Nicole is either writing books of poetry, or working in her photography business.

Gina-hein

Gina Hein - Mission Coordinator

Gina is responsible for Marketing our mission at The Lodge. Our Mission is 'creating environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day." Gina is a native of Nevada, and has worked in Marketing and Management in Northern Nevada for over 16 years. Gina is a warm, compassionate woman, and she enjoys building relationships in the community and assisting new residents transition to make The Lodge their new home.

When Gina is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, sports, and sewing.

Jeremy Anderson - Maintenance Director

Jeremy is a wonderful asset to The Lodge. He brings many skills to assure that The Lodge is well maintained, clean and safe. Jeremy oversees the housekeeping department. As a valued member of the Leadership team, he leads the safety committee, trains all employees on building safety, and conducts fire drills. Jeremy monitors the major systems of the building for safety as required by regulatory standards, and maintains a robust preventative maintenence program. Jeremy has a heart for elders, and he is always handy to lend a hand to hang a picture in a resident's room, or help with move in and move out. The Lodge is pleased to have the services of this amazing man.

Randy Briggs - Dietary Director

Randy Briggs was born in California and was raised around restaurants since he was a little kid, helping his mom bus tables. Randy has been in the culinary business for over 20 years. He worked at TJ’s family style restaurant as a manager before coming to The Lodge where he became a cook and eventually worked his way to the Dietary Director position.  Randy enjoys working with the residents and always takes the time to listen to what their needs and wants are. Randy is always trying new recipes and ideas from our residents and staff. Randy takes pride in his kitchen and is always staying on top of Nevada state regulations at The Lodge.
