Cognitive Enhancement

Just like your body, your brain must be exercised to stay fit and sharp. The Lodge integrates cognitive exercises into the daily Life Enrichment calendar right alongside our physical fitness progam.

Based on the work of Dr. Rob Winningham of Western Oregon University, participants are led through a series of exercises to stretch and challenge the brain. Exercises may include:

  • Word searches
  • Alpha-numeric order sequencing
  • Learning new things such as a ‘Spanish Word of the Day’
  • Sudoku
  • Knitting
  • Jigsaw Puzzles
  • And many more!
